Today president of Peace Committee of Armenia Grigor Petrosyan held a meeting with the Human Rights Defender of Armenia Armen Harutyunyan. During the meeting a reference was made to the activities of the RA Human Rights Defender’s Institution in the sphere of protection and promotion of human rights.

As it was stated, the mission of Human Rights Defender is protection, restoration of human rights and fundamental freedoms from violation, creation of state guarantees and mechanisms for their enforcement, respect and protection of human rights and freedoms at the state and local levels.

Positively evaluating the missions and objectives of Human Rights Defender and the missions of Peace Committee Grigor Petrosyan and Armen Harutyunyan agreed on establishing cooperation for realizing numerous projects aimed at promoting peace and protecting human rights in Armenia.
