The International Association of Peace Foundations is a peace-making, charitable non-governmental organization, established on March, 18th, 1992.

It was founded on a voluntary basis by peace funds of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.


Association is guided by principles and norms of international law, by the Association Charter and by the states legislations that regulate activity of the non-governmental organizations in the region. It cooperates with state structures, public organizations also funds and movements, the goals and problems of which are close and coincide with the Association goals. The Associations’ noble moral principles meet the approval and support by large segments of the society.

President of International Peace Fund's association is world chess champion, the Children's fund ambassador of the United Nations (UNICEF) A. E. Karpov.

On problems of peacemaking he has spoken at the UN, UNESCO and other international organizations that gave him international fame and personal authority among statesmen of many countries. The international recognition of the association led by Karpov testifies assigning him the honorary status of the UN “Messenger of Peace”.
